Festschrift Information
The conference organizers will publish, in honor of Tom Hettmansperger, a Festschrift in the Lecture Notes-Monograph Series of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (LNMS). As you may know, the LNMS is now freely available on the Internet at http://www.imstat.org/publications/lnms.htm.
The details for the Festschrift are as follows:
- The editors of the Festschrift are Ryan Elmore, Dave Hunter, Jim Rosenberger, and Don Richards.
- The deadline for submission of papers to the Festschrift is August 15, 2008. Submissions are welcome from all Nonparametric Statistics and Mixture Models Conference speakers and poster-session presenters and we also shall solicit a few additional submissions from friends of Tom who were unable to attend the meeting.
- Papers are to be submitted to Dave Hunter at dhunter@stat.psu.edu, Jim Rosenberger at jlr@psu.edu, or Don Richards at richards@stat.psu.edu, and are to be prepared in the LNMS format as described at http://www.imstat.org/publications/instructions.htm.
- All papers submitted will be refereed and authors will receive a report from the editors within six weeks of receipt of submission.
- After decisions have been made on all submissions, the collection of papers and referees' reports will be sent to the editorial board of the LNMS for further review. The board will make a final decision within one month of receiving the volume. Therefore, we expect that final approval for the Festschrift will be received from the LNMS board by early November 2008.
